Aspartam ist ein nicht nahrhafter künstlicher Süßstoff, der auf zwei Aminosäuren basiert. Es wird wie ein Nahrungsprotein metabolisiert. Aspartam ist ein weißes oder fast weißes geruchloses kristallines Pulver mit einem süßen Geschmack, leicht hygroskopisch, ungefähr 200-mal so süß wie Saccharose. Aspartam bietet eine saubere zuckerartige Süße ohne bitteren oder metallischen Nachgeschmack. |
